Your Onboarding Documents
During the onboarding process, you will be asked to submit the following documents:
- Bank statement: You will need to upload a scanned copy of your bank confirmation letter. If you don’t have it, you can request it from your bank. Please note that your bank must be based in Armenia.
- Social Security Number (SSN): You are required to upload the SSN document to the platform. If you don’t have an SSN yet, you can apply for it at the Passport and Visa Department (also known as OVIR) of your local police station.
- Registration address: If you’re not an Armenian citizen, you must provide proof of registration address in Armenia. You can request the document from your local Passport and Visa Department by providing them with evidence that you reside in Armenia, such as a certificate of ownership, lease of a residential property, or the consent to the registration from the owner of the property where you live. If you can’t present any of these documents, you can request a factual check from your local police station. After requesting the factual check, a police officer will come by the address you've indicated to confirm that you live there. The factual check can take up to two weeks.
Information about Sick Leave and Paid Time Off (PTO)
Sick leave
In order to request sick leave as an Armenian employee, you need to:
- Request your sick leave on the Deel platform.
- Go to a local polyclinic or other local medical institution.
- Get a medical certificate or a note from a doctor with the start date and the end date of your sick leave.
- Attach a scanned copy of the medical certificate to your sick leave request on the Deel platform.
Please request your sick leave on the Deel platform as soon as possible, even if you don’t have a medical certificate yet to avoid delays with your salary payments in the future. The medical certificate can be added later, but it must be presented within 6 months of the issue date.
The salary cannot be paid during sick leave until the medical certificate has been received. If any salary is excluded for this reason, it will be paid in full when all the requirements are met.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
- To request PTO days, please reach out to us via support request.
- Full-time employees in Armenia are entitled to a minimum of 20 PTO days a year on top of public holidays. Of these 20 days, a minimum of 10 days annually must be taken in a continuous period. The number of PTO days a year is prorated based on your starting date.
- You can use your PTO days after 6 months of employment unless otherwise specified in your agreement.
- The payment for your PTO days is made 3 days before the vacation starts.
- We encourage you to submit your PTO request on the Deel platform at least 10 days before the vacation start date.
