Your Onboarding Documents
During the onboarding process, you will be asked to submit the following documents:
- Tax ID (DNI/NIE): You will need to upload a copy of your Tax ID (Employee NIF is DNI or NIE).
If you don't have a Spanish Tax ID (DNI/NIE): select “No” in the additional information form. You need to personally request your Tax ID and upload a scanned copy of it when you receive it. - Social Security Number (SSN): You will need to uploada copy of your Social Security Number (SSN).
If you don’t have a Social Security Number: select “No” in the additional information form and request the SSN by following the instructions from the Social Security website. Once the SSN is issued, add the number and upload a copy of the Social Security document on the platform.
Please note: We need your ax ID and Social Security Number, together with the other necessary details and compliance documents, in order to prepare your employee agreement. To make sure you can receive your agreement as soon as possible, please request these documents without delay.
If you are an EU citizen, you can be onboarded without your Tax ID and SSN but you will have 90 days to present the documents.
Medical Check
An occupational medical examination is optional for employees in Spain. You can opt-in or opt-out by completing and signing the “Risk prevention measures and medical check opt-in/out” form via HelloSign. You can find the link to the form in the Compliance Documents section, and you will be asked to upload a copy of the signed document on the platform.
Sick Leave & Parental Leave:
If you request sick leave or parental leave, you will be required to upload a copy of a note from your doctor (sick leave) or the birth certificate of your child (parental leave) and enter the total days of leave in the Time Off section of the Deel platform within three days after your first day of leave.
